C-Set is a Super Glue Accelerator, also known as a glue “activator.” It is used to speed up the drying time of cyanoacrylate super glues. The accelerator is a solvent-based product that can be applied before and/or after the glue application. C-Set Accelerator is commonly paired with high viscosity glues, as thicker viscosity glues take longer to dry. It is also useful when priming uneven surfaces or material combinations that are harder to bond, and in colder, drier environments where curing time may be delayed.

What is C-SET Cyanoacrylate Accelerator Aerosol?

Also known as a cyanoacrylate activator, this aerosol spray contains specific chemicals that promote rapid adhesion. When applied to adhesive, the accelerator aerosol triggers an immediate reaction, speeding up the curing time and creating a strong bond within seconds.

• Application Methods:
  • Post-Apply: Join the surfaces with cyanoacrylate glue, then spray C-Set Accelerator on the seams. This will cure the glue in 4 to 8 seconds.
  • Pre-Apply: For challenging joints, apply C-Set Accelerator to one surface and cyanoacrylate glue to the other. Wait 4-6 seconds for solvent evaporation, then press the parts together for a rapid cure.
• Final Steps:
  • Before completing your project, clean all surfaces with denatured alcohol or a suitable prep solvent to remove any activator residue.
  • Important: C-Set may cause discoloration on PVC siding, certain granite colors, and some wood finishes. Test on a small, inconspicuous area first.
  • Full bonding strength may take up to 5 days to develop.
